Many Central Florida companies require the services of a commercial printer to produce multi-page promotional materials, including trade show dailies, calendars, catalogs, and booklets. These materials must use some form of binding to fasten the pages together physically. A bindery is where printed work is manufactured after it has been printed. Whether part of a larger company (such as a print shop) or independently owned, binderies yield the most professional results and ensure that large volume orders are defect free.
The type of binding your business document requires depends in large part on its intended purpose. There are a number of binding methods available and include spiral binding (e.g., booklets, notepads, calendars ), stitched binding (e.g., small booklets, calendars), perfect binding (e.g., booklets, paperback novels), thermal binding (booklets, catalogs), and case binding (e.g., hardcover books). Finishing the document may also involve hole punching, scoring, folding, collating, die-cutting, gluing, and trimming. The term, bindery, has in recent years expanded to include other forms of paper finishing, including lamination, and foamcore mounting (e.g., Gator board and Sintra board).
The women-owned bindery of SunDance Graphics has the people and machines to meet all of your document finishing needs.
